Eunyoung Kim studied classical violin and piano from an early age and discovered a talent for jazz piano at 18 years old, attending Dongduk University in Korea. In 2007 she studied at Berklee School of Music Undergrad program and subsequently got a scholarship to attend the New England Conservatory's Masters Degree program. Returning to Korea in 2013, she set forth upon her musical career, playing with the Three Quartet's "Road to Home" and Sungjae Son's Trio albums, while staying active as a leader and writing her original music. In 2018 she released her debut album, "Silent Child", an album of original compositions, and was featured on the Korean TV show EBS Space (www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJUaT-9dIPk) the following year. Eunyoung Kim has always been a skilled free improviser and in early 2020, she released a purely improvised performance with saxophonist Sunjae Lee and NYC based drummer Dayeon Seok, "Pulse Theory" released under Ghettoalive records, followed by a solo piano improvisations album "Earworm”, released under the Mung Music label in the fall of 2020.


Soojin Suh, Korean creative music artist, drummer, composer living in Seoul, Korea. Soojin Suh has been developing a reputation as one of the most promising drummers in Seoul since her professional career started in 2008. As a sideman, she has performed on over twenty recordings. As a leader, she has released three records: “The Moon In Your Hand” (2014), “Strange Liberation” (2018), and “Colorist” (2020) and is a member of the co-led ensemble, Baum Sae. She is also a member of Near East Quartet, whose 2018 album of the same name, “Near East Quartet,” was released by ECM records. They are currently touring all over the world.

Sang Jun Ahn is a Korean Guitarist, living in Bucheon, South Korea. Sang Jun started his music studies in Howon university in South Korea, followed by a program at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where he studied with Jesse van Ruller, Maarten van der Grinten, Martien Oster and Maartijn van Iterson. During his time in Amsterdam he released 2 albums as a leader while earning his bachelor degree in jazz performance. After coming back to South Korea in 2017, he was awarded third prize in the prestigious 2017 Socar Montreux Jazz Electric Guitar Competition. In 2018, he started a Korean traditional music inspired trio called “Trio GAE HWA”, and also released an album with a jazz trio, “4TH AEON”. Sang Jun continues to be active as one of the more prominent jazz guitar players in the Seoul jazz scene.


Sunjae Lee was born in Boston, MA and began his music studies at Rivers Music School from an early age on piano, violin, and saxophone, and later attended the New England Conservatory Preparatory program before going to University of Rochester to major in Chemistry while continuing his music studies at the nearby Eastman School of Music. After moving back to Boston, he released 3 albums as a leader between 2007-2009 under the independent Pure Potentiality Records Label while working as a chemical engineer.
Deciding to pursue a career in Natural Medicine, he moved to Portland, OR to get a doctorate in Naturopathy and Oriental Medicine, during which time he led a jazz trio, Kin Trio with Tim DuRoche and Andre St. James for 4 years, and ultimately released the album “Breathe” on PJCE records and performed in the PDX jazz festival.
In 2014 he moved to Seoul, Korea to practice Naturopathy, and in 2016 won Grand Prize and Best Creativity Prize in the Jarasum Int’l Jazz Festival Concours Competition with his trio with Junyoung Song on Drums and Minki Cho on Bass (and later adding Chris Varga on vibraphone). Continuing to stay musically active while maintaining a full time job as a Naturopath, his latest CD, “Entropy”, was released in 2019 with celebrated trumpeter Peter Evans, an old friend from Sunjae’s days back in Boston.
He is a member of many different groups in the Korean jazz scene including Soojin Suh’s “Chordless Quartet”, and has been featured on the Korean TV show EBS Space multiple times in 2017 and 2018 in bands led by Junyoung Song, Jimin Lee, and Eunyoung Kim. In 2019 his quartet was invited to Warsaw, Poland, to take part in a concert celebrating the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Poland and Korea.
In 2020, Sunjae founded Mung Music, an independent record label dedicated to showcasing improvised, experimental music recorded using a vintage Tascam 424 cassette tape recorder.
