a two part collaboration between a man and his computer.

Paul McMordie is the human part of this duo with a career as a guitarists and composer which has spanned more than 30 years and many celebrated recordings

McMordie plays a Roland GR55 guitar syth which in turn goes through Logic Pro X. Here the music is mixed with processed,sourced and other sounds. The machine then takes over, streching and folding the music in on itself several times, producing the otherworldy noises

then man made a machine latest release is a album titled, Olilithigh

Taken as a whole, the album beautifully encapsulates a depth and range in all its meditative glory. Recorded in Dec,2020, at Homestudio Belfast, All of the compositions on Oilithigh were written by McMordie. Previous recordings finds him working with world class Norwegian recording engineer, Jan Erik Konsaugh of ECM fame .

McMordie has had a lot of practice putting high concept into a humble package. Long hailed as one of the most distinctive and original improvising guitarists to come from Ireland. He has also earned a reputation for teasing out thematic connections with his music.

Recognized as one of Northern Irelands top 10 guitarists He is a most vital and productive performing artists, McMordie in 2018 won a life time achievement award from Ards International Guitar Festival for his work and music.
